The Inspired Scholar is a Christian organization. This means that although students do not have to be Christians, my classes are informed and enlightened by the infallible Word of God. "Difficult" topics are not avoided but are examined by the light of the Bible. I seek to cull the best educational practices from a variety of approaches, but I particularly favor Charlotte Mason's literary-rich philosophy as well as elements of Classical education. Because I seek to bridge the distance in "distance education" I strive to get to know each student and to create an authentic community of learners. Finally, I am passionate and knowledgeable about literature and writing and seek to inspire young people to become articulate and independent learners, thinkers, and leaders.
