Course Description:
Step into the shoes of literary giants and embark on a transformative journey through classic literature. This class aims to expose students to the profound ideas, universal themes, and enduring characters found in classic works. Students read texts in their historic, literary, and artistic context which results in greater comprehension. Through further investigation of related topics, lively discussions, creative writing exercises, and collaborative projects, students will develop their communication skills, broaden their perspectives, and gain a deeper appreciation for the beauty of language. By the end of the course, they will be equipped with the tools to analyze, interpret, and appreciate classic literature for a lifetime.
Tuition: $75 month or $270/semester

- Read and annotate a variety of master fiction.
- Explore literature in depth and answer a variety of questions.
- Participate in online discussions.
- Conduct mini-research to enlarge understanding of the book under study.
- Respond to literature through a variety of short writing assignments and longer essays.
- Create projects demonstrating an understanding of various concepts.
- Increase literary vocabulary.
